Our versatility in distributed computing also shows through our experience in other communication layers of the International Standards Organization's Open Systems Interconnection model. We have the expertise in protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP/IP, RPC and IP Multicast to build and deliver client/server applications that have the capability to communicate and support cross-platform data transfer within a small Local Area Network (LAN) or across Wide Area Networks (WAN).

In today's fast pace military environment, the ability to defeat enemies is often defined by how well the Armed Forces are prepared and trained. The Department of Defense and its branches have been emphasizing the importance of well preparedness by the fact that they have spent a great deal of resources in training programs such as military exercises. However, full scale and real life exercises are costly. Recognizing this problem, VTC engineers have put their knowledge in ADS and HLA to solve problems in the military arena. Today we are able to develop applications that model real life objects such as tanks, air-crafts, etc. to establish a virtual battlefield for exercises and support a wide range of exercise management.
